MedicsDocAssistant Electronic Medical Records software system offer the following key features:

Encounter-based model:

Documentation is created by the physician during the patient encounter. Integrated facilities are provided for organizing patient encounter data, inserting handwritten notes, including transcripts and easily accessing glossaries of medical terms.

Virtual Sticky Notes:

During or after a patient encounter, the physician may enter handwritten notes and diagrams into the system.

Template texts:

The electronic medical records system includes thousands of ready-made template texts to assist the provider quickly enter encounter data. Specialty-specific templates are also available.

Powerful Search:

A number of powerful search forms allows the provider to immediately locate a patient's records by name, date, timeslot, free-text search and more.

Role-based security:

Individuals in the practice can be provided differing level of access security within the system. Roles may be desginated for entering, changing or viewing information for particular patients, particular groups of patients or all patients.

Automated Patient Questionnaire:

The Automated Patient Questionnaire allows patients to complete much of their initial registration and actual encounter information in advance of their arrival at the practice. The patient receives, via email, a unique password which permits access to the Automated Patient Questionnaire website. The patient arrives at the practice with much of the paperwork drudgery already completed. This is an optional MedicsDocAssistant feature.
